How to create a PC game video review?

I want to make a review on a Sims game for my YouTube channel, but as you know, Sims opens up on the whole screen, so is there software or something I need to download to show the screen as I play and record my voice too?

Try Bandicam recorder.

You can record both gameplay and desktop screen.
You can upload the recorded file to YouTube channel without converting because the recorded file is quite smaller than other software.

To record speakers and microphone at the same time, you should set "Volume control"

Why is it a big deal if someone likes a video game?

I use to use an internet video game forum years ago, but I don't anymore. When I did, I remember people actually made fun of others over opinions for games.

Opinions are like @ssholes. Every person has one.

A lot of people that play video games tend to play games that are more popular, have been given better critic scores and reviews, and that other people are simply playing a particular game more.

The reason why some people will make fun of a person for liking a game that is based off a movie or T.V., an unpopular game, or a game that just sucks... is because they don't have true opinions of their own. They feel that by bashing others for what they like, be it a great game or a horrible game, it almost seems like they have played the entire game and have absolute knowledge of what makes THAT game good or bad. You know they are lying through their teeth.

They never really played the game... and only based their opinions from critics or what others have said. It's to "fit in". The act of fitting in is true even for gamers. It's ridiculous. Even if they did play the game, it's most likely they just quit near the beginning or middle of the game, due to it being either complicated, unorthodox, or just simply difficult to grasp at first. Or it may be too simple.

So, players immediately dismiss the game as a failure, rather than looking at themselves and saying "Well, I don't really like this game, because it's story is weak, and the gameplay is unsatisfactory. So, what games suit ME? What do "I" like in game, not what others like?"

Sure, the games based off of T.V. shows or Movies may not be overall that good, but they are not meant for hardcore gamers. There are some people who just prefer much simpler, casual style gameplay than others. That's what you call a Casual Player, who likes the classic way of playing, and does not play video games often. You know, beat up enemies, get through levels, and earn points for a score. The games meant for hardcore gamers are much more complex and in-depth.

Hardcore games tend to have a rather deep story, complicated yet fun gameplay, and the ability to do a variety of options other than just go through levels and earn points. Like, you will unlock a new gun to use if you beat the game on Hard Difficulty. Or you can look at a hidden cutscene if you watch al other cutscenes without skipping them. Players like to be able to EARN things for completing certain tasks in a game. Examples of hardcore games are Metal Gear Solid, Left 4 Dead, Command & Conquer, Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil, etc.

Games like those are usually liked by more players than not, due to being original, and having a lot to do on them.

So, overall, everyone likes games based on their tastes, regardless of how great or terrible a game is. Some don't have the heart to have opinions of their own, and some like to criticize a game they barely played at all, and simply don't like it themselves or don't have the brains to play it. Grand Theft Auto IV is supposedly the best GTA game made so far, but I liked it's predecessors a lot better. Why? I could tell you, but i'd be wasting your time, believe me.
