Netflix Video Game Rentals
Is Gamefly.com a scam or is it reputable like Netflix?
I know the concept is similar to Netflix with the only difference is that Gamefly deals in video games.
I have been looking for an online video game rental store like Netflix and came across Gamefly but not so sure I should take the plunge. Not sure how new Gamefly is, but with any new idea comes anxiousness.
Has anyone used Gamefly and are they satisfied or have they had any problems with them?
Thanks!
I've been using Gamefly for 3 years now. They are very reputable and believe me its worth the money. Gamefly is basically Netflix except for video games. I have never had a problem with gamefly.

An interesting point is made in this article – “The education system continues to prepare students for jobs in factories. The video game companies do a better job of preparing them for work”. There continues to be demand for individuals to work in technology-focused industries such as video game development. If you are interested in a video game job visit where you can post your resume for free and get connected to video game companies that need employees.
to sum up an answer to all your questions…
the price is based on how many games/videos you have out at a time. you can get as many as you want in a month, but for the basic charge ($9.99) you can only rent one at a time… then they send you another once they've received your return. hence, no late fees, since there are no "return by" dates. the more you have out at a time, the more you pay/month. there is no contract to sign, meaning you can cancel anytime.
the downside of most companies is that you cannot choose the exact movie you want, but you can only submit a list (of 10 or so) that you want to see and they will send you whatever is on your list that they have available when you make a return. however, Blockbuster is probably one of the best programs out there, seeing as how you can return the movies directly to the store and pick-up a new one there, instead of having to wait for a new one to mail out!
if you rent that many movies a month, I think it'd definitley be worth considering… if you're not happy, you can always cancel!
hope that helps!
