It's been a while since I was there, and I have a few questions. How much does it cost for a membership in Canada? How much does it cost to rent a PS2 game, for a 7 day rental, and a 3 day one?
The basic Blockbuster membership is free. You'll need a picture ID issued by your government or state and one of the following: A major credit card not linked to a checking account, a utility or cell phone bill or a lease from your housing office. All of these must have an up to date billing address.
There's also a "Blockbuster Reward's" membership which can be purchased for $9.99 (plus state taxes) and is valid for a year. Each year you are able to renew your membershp for $9.99 (plus state taxes). This membership allows you the following benefits:
1. For every 5 rentals rented within a month you receive 1 free rental. These free rentals can be used towards games, New releases and Favorites. (Though, only 2 free rentals can be earned within a month.)
2. Mon, Tue, Wed- For every movie/game rented you receive a free "Favorites rental". (A "Favorite" is any movie (not game rental) rental not located on the "New release wall".) The free rentals *must* be redeemed during that visit. (Note: Free rental's *Do not* count as part of your monthly 5 rentals, #1.)
3. Every month you recieve a free "Favorites rental" just for having the membership. There's no need to rent a movie or game, just simply ask an employee for a free movie slip. (At times the computer will print out the coupon attached to your reciept during an earlier visit.)
Franchised Blockbusters have the following priced rentals:
Games: $7.99 plus sales taxes
Movie rentals (7 day or 2 day): $3.99 plus sales taxes
*Note: This information is based on franchised Blockbusters only. Privately owned Blockbusters are able to include and reinforce the prices and merchendice they choose too.
