Can I do anything?
I rented 2 1-day dvd releases and a 5 day rental video game on sat. I brought back the movies on sunday (wasnt late) and i brought the game back yesterday 2 days early. I got a phone call today saying the video game is overdue because according to their records i rented the game and movies on the 2nd even though I KNOW that I rented them on the 5th. I wasnt even in town on the 2nd. What can I do, because they have now charged me late fees for the movies and full price for the video game. They just dont believe me, they only believe their records. This is a big Movie Rental company and I spoke with the manager and he advised me to pay the fees. Any suggestions?
Yeah I've definately decided not to return to that chain. The thing is they are accusing me of not bringing the game back when I did (2 days early in fact)
Keep going up higher and higher on the corporate ladder. Bug the hell out of them. Someone will take the charges off. Don't be a jerk either, be nice. I would also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Years ago my cell provider wouldn't give me my $200 deposit back until I filed with the BBB. After 18 months of trying, I filed, and had a check a little less than 3 months later.

I disagree.
This game is very artistic and has a lot in the way of social commentary. At least more then you give it credit for. It's more of a statement of how people are so willing to participate in such a depraved act, making snuff films. The key gameplay mechanic you are missing here is survival. Survival at any cost. It also has many political connotations about how not only people are willing to be so depraved, but how city officials are willing to cover the tracks of such depravity.
Yes. The game is pretty fun.
It's like GTA on a smaller, nicer scale. But it's still a fun game.
