Help with this pre-algebra problem, please. . .?


At video shack, movie rentals cost $3.99 each. The cost of renting three movies and one video game is $.11 less than the cost of renting five video games. How much does renting a video game cost?

So, how do I set this up?

x = cost of renting a video game

3(3.99) + x = 5x - 0.11

11.97 + x = 5x - 0.11

12.08 = 4x

x = $ 3.02

    Do you actually think that I CARE, what you think, sperm breath? “Liitle Boy”, you keep riding that monitor/keyboard, and I will be OUT in the REAL world, racing at the edge of my tires through curves in the Sierra mountains on my Ducati, Landscape Photograpy in North America, Accuracy Benchrest shooting/reloading, and other “REAL STUFF” :-) No keyboard piss contest here, as I am done replying, as it will never end with people like you… Been there…………..VBR
