Video Game Rental On
Am I being selfish?
My husband and I both work. He gets paid more than I do, but it seems like all of my money goes towards bills and other necessities. His money, on the other hand, goes towards trips to Blockbuster for video game rentals, nights of playing darts at the bar, and other miscellaneous "fun" activities. I have not bought myself ANYTHING for mere pleasure for about 9 months. I also have not received anything from my husband for about 9 months - and that even includes our wedding date! We have been married since Februrary (just a small, simple, private wedding between the two of us), and I have yet to receive any sort of item from him as a gift! Am I being selfish? Or do I deserve a little more?
I also try to get him something every once in awhile, whether it's a new video game, dinner out, or going to see a movie.
Seems like your in a one sided relationship and showing signs of codependance. Marriage is about sharing the good and the bad. Sounds to me like he takes all the good and lets you take all the bad. A real man who truly cared would not hang his wife out to dry like that. Start handing him a few bills and asking him to pay them.
