Video Game Review Podcast

final fantasy 13. its going to be amazing!?
I've seen radical dreamers review on youtube, listend to the out casts podcast, and constantly watch gameplay videos. So what are ur guys thoughts on the game? Btw I recommend watching the review by radicalsdream on youtube and listening to the podcast, there's a link with the video summary. And I don't know why but apparently people are put off by it being a linear game. One word for u guys, ur retarded
The Final Fantasy franchise has always been linear, with the notable exception of FFXI. After 13 core titles, you'd think people knew this by now. Too often people mistake them for RPGs and they (again, except for FFXI) are not.
But FF was also known for some of the most stunning gameplay graphics and interesting stories, and every so often, an interesting twist to battle mechanics. The titles have a carefully arranged plot and are really action/adventure games. That's how I always approach them, and I've been playing since FFVIII. Okay, well I skipped FFIX since I hate the chibi character style. I loved all the games that came out since in the main titles.
But Squeenix has laid some eggs recently, so people are justified in being cautious in plunking down $60 for a game that may piss them off.
It's only retarded if you run out and buy every game with some flashy hype and get a dog, only to run out and do it again the next time you see something else sparkly on the new release list.
That said, I pre-ordered FFXIII. I am a fan. But if Squeenix screws the pooch on this one it will be a *very* long time before I buy another.
